Tutoring Policy

Client Responsibility

As the client, you understand that you are solely responsible for creating your own results and accept full responsibility for your own progress and results throughout and after tutoring. In other words, hiring a tutor does not guarantee desired results or a passing grade.

You also understand that I will be providing tutoring services and content to you and that my obligation to do so exists only while you are a paying client and that my obligations will cease when all included services are fulfilled, expired, or terminated.

Booking

Please do not expect me to be available last minute. If you have an upcoming test or exam, book in advance to guarantee your place. Please check my booking calendar for availability for the current semester. You may book a session online with a minimum of 24 hours’ notice.

Session Recordings

All tutoring sessions will be recorded to ensure the security and safety of both myself and my students. You may request access to your recordings for personal use only (such as for use as study aids in the future), however, all recordings will remain the property of Natasha Coskery. I may use video or audio clips of your recorded sessions for research or marketing purposes, but at no point will any personally identifiable information (such as the face, voice, name, email, etc.) of the student or client be included in these clips in any way. In other words, the only person in any such marketing clips will be me.

Session Expiration

All tutoring sessions must be booked within one year of the purchase date. Any remaining sessions that have not been scheduled within one year from purchase will expire and no longer be included in your purchase.

Payment

Payments are made at the time of booking via my client management program (Paperbell). You may make payments by debit or credit card. All payments are processed via Stripe and are subject to Stripe’s privacy policy and terms of service. You will receive an electronic confirmation of your purchase via Paperbell. If you select a monthly payment plan option, you hereby authorize future installment payments to be charged automatically via Paperbell and Stripe as part of the payment plan.

Cancellations

Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours prior to the session start time. Sessions cancelled in accordance with this policy will be automatically credited to the client’s account. Sessions cancelled less than 24 hours prior to the session start time are not eligible for credit or refund.

No Shows

When a client does not show up to their scheduled session within 10 minutes of their session start time it will be considered a “no-show”. No-show sessions are not eligible for credit or refund.

Refunds

Power Hour & Power Hour Bundle

A full refund can only be offered if ALL tutoring sessions remain unused*. Partial refunds will not be issued for this package. 

Semester Bundle

When you purchase this package you are receiving a bundled services discount for committing to work with me for the duration of the semester. As such, refunds are only offered for unused* sessions and the amount of the refund will be based on the number of used sessions (calculated at my current hourly rate) subtracted from the package price.

*A session is considered unused if it was never booked or if it was cancelled in accordance with the cancellation policy outlined above.

CONFIDENTIALITY

I will not disclose any personal information without express prior consent. I may use your feedback, comments, and experience with tutoring for research or marketing purposes, but at no point will I disclose any personally identifiable information or associate your name with this content in any way without express prior consent. However, please be aware that the tutoring relationship is not considered a legally confidential relationship (like the medical and legal professions) and thus communications are not subject to the protection of any legally recognized privilege

Conflicts

In the event of a conflict between this policy and a signed contract, the signed contract will take precedence. 

Changes to Policy

This policy is subject to change from time to time. You acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to review this policy periodically and to be aware of any modifications. We will notify you of any changes to this policy by posting those changes on this page.
